Last week was very successful. This week, I was successful, but in different ways.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, Michael had a bad asthma attack. I needed to help him, and that had a knock-on effect on the rest of the week.

Diet changes

This did not go well this week. Don’t ask.

However, I did have a deliberately unhealthy dinner (pizza followed by chocolate chip cookies) on Friday, which was a relatively inactive day, and my blood glucose 2 hours later was within range, which is good.

Exercise changes

Because of the knock-on effect of Thursday morning, I decided to be much more gentle to myself towards the end of the week.

Summary and conclusion

I came nowhere near my diet goals this week, but it was good to see that Friday’s attempt to push my blood glucose high failed.

Exercise goals were close, although I was successful in another way: I was kind to myself. I could have pushed through on Thursday and Friday to close the rings and get 10k steps, but that would have been pushing myself too hard.

Week 3

In week 3, I will have to really work on my diet. There is also no Pilates, so I want to swim at least three times.
