This was going to be a post called Lifestyle changes, phase 1, week 3, but I was sick over the weekend. Nothing too serious – just a cold – but it kind of wiped me out anyway.

Until I was unwell, I was doing OK – exercise good, diet not so good, all as expected. On Saturday morning I woke up with a sore throat which progressed into a cold. I spent a lot of time on Sunday in an armchair, wrapped in blankets, dozing in front of YouTube.

I am still new to type 2 diabetes, and there are a lot of things on my “to learn” list. One of them is putting together a sick day plan – basically a list of things to do when sick to make sure the diabetes is managed correctly. As a newbie, I won’t describe in detail what I did, but will link to some helpful resources.
