I had two sets of good news today, both relating to last week’s tests.
- The letter about the diabetic retinal screening said “The result was normal. This means that there were no diabetic eye changes found on this occasion.” So my eyes, like my feet, are in good condition.
- My HbA1c is down from 88 mmol/mol (10.2%) to 53 mmol/mol (7%). That is still higher than it should be – my target is 48 mmol/mol (6.5%) – but it is a significant improvement, especially as there were just seven weeks between those two readings.
